Dr. Jemaiyo Anne Chabeda-Barthe is an associate researcher at the University of Bern. Her research projects bridge the gap between fieldwork, research and policy. She has developed and implement various projects that address natural resource management, ecological development and sustainable food systems all from a gender perspective. Between 2018 and 2019, through funding from Swiss Africa Research Cooperation,(SARECO) based at the Swiss Tropical Health Institute in Basel,(Swiss TPH), she researched on child intellectual disabilities in Kenya. In 2020, the Gender Commission of the University of Bern funded her project on Academic mentorship of Black and Asian women in Swiss Universities (AMBAW).
