Luisa Piart joined the Institute of Social Anthropology in February 2013 as a research assistant and is completing her Ph.D. in anthropology at the University of Vienna and the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales EHESS Paris. She is also the coordinator of the SNF-funded project "Intimate Uncertainties" (2014-2017) and a research associate of the French Institute for Anatolian Studies (IFEA Istanbul). Her research and teaching interests are in the fields of transnationalism and economic anthropology, they include global markets, industrial labor relations, modalities of economic valuation and urban transformations with a focus on contemporary Turkey.
