Angela Lindt is a PhD candidate at the Institute of Social Anthropology under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Julia Eckert. In her dissertation project she focusses on legal responsibility and liability of transnational mining corporations in Peru. She explores how local social movements make strategic use of the national legislation to hold transnational corporations liable and how international debates on human rights and social justice are introduced into local court cases. Angela Lindt is a participant of the PhD-Program at the Centre for Global Studies in Berne.
Angela Lindt studied Social Anthropology and History at the University of Berne and graduated in autumn 2015. In her master thesis she wrote about a local social conflict on an industrial gold mine in the northern highlands of Peru and examined the relevance of citizenship rights in the context of social conflicts.
