Lucien Schönenberg is a PhD student at the Institute of Social Anthropology at the University of Bern.
He received his Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Philosophy and Central Asian Studies from the University of Neuchâtel and his Master's degree in Social Anthropology and Sustainable Development from the University of Bern.
His research focuses on the anthropology of the state, digitization and automation, algorithmic governance, and security.
He is part of the research group Big Data Lives. Anthropological Perspectives on Tech-Imaginaries and Human Transformations.
